Marble in Paris has embodied excellence in the art of building and decorating for centuries. From royal palaces to Haussmann apartments, this natural stone remains the material of choice for prestigious interiors. Its depth, unique luminosity and inimitable veining give each space a singular identity, impossible to reproduce with an industrial material.

Wild Rénovation, marble specialist in Paris, guides its clients from slab selection at the quarry through to final installation. Our network of suppliers in Italy, Greece and Portugal gives us access to the finest qualities of marble, travertine and onyx available on the global market.

The great marbles: varieties and characteristics

Carrara marble

Carrara marble is the most famous in the world. Quarried from Tuscan quarries since antiquity, it is distinguished by its luminous white background traversed by fine grey veins. Versatile, it adapts equally well to floors, walls, worktops and bathrooms.

Calacatta

Calacatta marble is the jewel of Italian marbles. Rarer than Carrara, it is characterised by a pure white background enhanced by broad golden or dark grey veins. Each slab is a unique piece. It is particularly prized for kitchen islands, exceptional fireplaces and master bathrooms.

Statuario

Statuario marble, cousin of Calacatta, displays a brilliant white with pronounced and dramatic grey veins. Used by Michelangelo for his greatest sculptures, it confers an incomparable sculptural presence upon spaces. Its increasing rarity makes it a collector's choice for the most demanding interiors.

Travertine

Travertine is a limestone with warm tonalities — cream, beige, walnut — that brings a Mediterranean and organic atmosphere. Its slight natural cavities, filled or left exposed depending on the desired style, create a unique texture. It is ideal for entrance halls, spa bathrooms and covered terraces.

Onyx

Onyx is the most spectacular stone in the catalogue. Semi-translucent, it lends itself to backlighting for striking visual effects — luminous walls, vanity tops, bars. Available in green, honey, white and pink, onyx is reserved for the most daring projects and the centrepieces of an interior.

Applications of marble in Parisian renovation

The Wild Rénovation process: from quarry to your interior

Our approach as a marble specialist in Paris is distinguished by comprehensive support at every stage of the project. During the design phase, we define with you the stone types, finishes (mirror polish, honed, brushed, flamed) and laying patterns that will enhance your space.

We then select the slabs directly from our suppliers, ensuring vein consistency and lot quality. Cutting is carried out in a specialised workshop with CNC machines guaranteeing precision to a tenth of a millimetre. Each piece is calibrated, edges are worked according to the chosen profile — straight, bevelled, rounded, ogee — and surfaces receive their final treatment.

On-site installation is carried out by our master marble workers, trained in traditional techniques and the requirements of historic Parisian buildings. Minimal joints, perfect joints, anti-stain protection: every detail is mastered for a flawless and lasting result.

Marble maintenance: preserving beauty over time

Marble is a living stone that deserves proper care. Daily cleaning with neutral soap is sufficient to maintain its lustre. Acidic products — vinegar, lemon, descalers — must be absolutely avoided as they attack the limestone and create irreversible matte areas.

Wild Rénovation systematically applies a water- and oil-repellent treatment to every marble surface delivered. This penetrating, invisible and breathable treatment protects the stone from liquid and grease stains without altering its natural appearance. Renewal every two to three years is recommended to maintain optimal protection.

In the event of superficial scratches or old stains, localised sanding followed by re-polishing can restore the original condition. Our after-sales service intervenes on request for these maintenance operations, ensuring the longevity of your investment.
